The Elbi Files, The Diliman Files and similar Facebook Pages for Ateneo, DLSU, UST and MSU-IIT (which started it all) provide people an opportunity to anonymously share intimate and personal secrets. I myself read them. Theyre fun and entertaining to read, and offer a glimpse to the lives of college folk today. This social media phenomenon is another reason why we should jealously, vigilantly protect Internet freedom - especially the rights to privacy, to free expression and to freely join and form any type of association. We hope the founders, administrators and moderators would always keep the trust and confidence of their communities against all odds, and let us assure them we will support them.
