The Elizabeth Dole Foundation is accepting applications through October 1 for our 2015 class of Elizabeth Dole Fellows. To help us achieve our goal of naming a Fellow in every state, we are asking for your help in spreading the word. Our fellows program is the cornerstone initiative of our Foundation’s work supporting the nations military and veteran caregivers. Elizabeth Dole Fellows are active caregivers who offer counsel and personal points of view on the challenges of caring for someone who has suffered the physical and emotional wounds of war. They are a leading voice in our campaign to ensure our nation offers better support to caregivers. Last year, Fellows met with First Lady Michelle Obama, leaders in Congress, and representatives of the Department of Veterans Affairs, the business and labor communities, nonprofits, philanthropies and faith based organizations. The Foundation is seeking fellowship applicants who are open to sharing their personal caregiving story, eager to represent themselves and caregivers nationwide, and self-motivated to work with the Foundation in making a meaningful difference for our nations hidden heroes. Below is a list of states and territories for which we currently have openings. Please note we are especially interested in reaching out to sibling, parent, and friend caregivers.
