The Elohim….Why is Academia and the Church so afraid? The word Elohim strikes fear into the heart of the Religions and Academia will not allow it out into our schools because of its implications to our way of life and the Main Religions Incomes. Why?....... 2000 years ago new religions sprang up in the Middle East which were man based Christian---Mohammedan and Bhuddist. Though there is nothing wrong in this it is the premise of what these Religions were based on that was kept out of the minds of the congregations. It is what went before and the Ancient Texts that is so frightening to our present day Institutions. Let us examine the word Elohim. Reading the word depends to a great extent on the Context in which it is written. Elohim may be used to represent many {Deities} or it can be used to represent a single. It can be INTERPRETED in many ways and over the last 2000 years it has been used by the Churches to describe the Judean….. Catholic and Arabic God. It was the Hebrews who ingeniously combined the Monotheism of the word Elohim with the Universality of the Lord to combine a Singular but Plural Deity. When one realizes that the Bible narrative was only written approximately AD 400 then obviously one must look for the first usage of the term. To understand the word more we have to go back way past the 2000 years of our present Religions and go to the source of the word ELOHIM! How far back?......easily 6000 years! Why? The word Elohim as Plural could have been used to describe an assembly. It could easily be termed as a Gathering…or a Parliament or as it is termed in the Sumerian “An assembly of the Gods” Because 6000 years ago the Sumerian Pantheon was discussing the ramifications of producing MAN! Quote And Elohim said: “Let us make Man in our image, after our likeness” Who was this single/plural deity speaking too? The Sumerian Literature is specific…The Deity was speaking in an ‘Assembly of the Gods” Indeed a warning was also being given about Man….again this deity used the term as a plural when speaking…. quote “Behold, Man has become as one of us, to know good and evil” unquote. We know that the Creation Story of Genesis is taken from the Sumerian Original then obviously one has to ask who were the so called Assembly of the Gods and more to the point is the fact that the ‘Assembly of the Gods’ has been reduced by the modern day Churches to a Single Deity.
