The Endangered Species Act is one of Americas keystone environmental policies, passed into law by Nixon in the 1970s to protect critically imperiled species from extinction by inadequate concern for biodiversity loss. In the midst of this 6th mass extinction we must push decision makers to represent the collective wellbeing of humans, for our fate as a species is inextricably tied to that of others (source: Ecology 101).
