The English language developed in haste in an adhoc, senseless - TopicsExpress

The English language developed in haste in an adhoc, senseless fashion, as it sought to dominate the globe. Its concern always more on the printing press and ease of a fast distribution, than the development of a language for its people. It is a written language, not a speaking one,.and a very purpose of a human language. Talk about our past ignorance! ;) :D As words were discovered on its travels they were altered - anglicized - for use in English, and why there are so many odd words and lack of any coherent pattern within the English language framework. For this reason, the English language does not co-exist easily with other languages, and its speakers may be greater challenged at learning another. It is not a reason for English to become dominant however, but a reason for home or indigenous languages to take greater pride! :-)
