The Ethiopian Eunuch Then the Spirit said to Philip, Go over - TopicsExpress

The Ethiopian Eunuch Then the Spirit said to Philip, Go over and join this chariot. So Philip ran up to it and heard the man reading Isaiah the prophet. He asked him, Do you understand what youre reading? The man replied, How in the world can I, unless someone guides me? So he invited Philip to come up and sit with him. Acts 8:29-31 Philip had to to leave Samaria at the height of revival in order to share the gospel with a certain individual. An Ethiopian finance minister sat in his carriage reading the book of Isaiah but could not understand it. Philip knew how to deal with mass evangelism as well as personal evangelism. The Ethiopian finance minister was not narrow-minded or defensive. He was open and hungry for the Word of God. This man eagerly sought truth in the Bible. He was not even ashamed to confess that he lacked understanding. God needed someone to clarify His Word for this seeker. There are many people around you who are open. Perhaps they do not read the Bible. The Spirit challenges you to draw near to them. Break through fear, isolation and unwillingness in your life. Do not assume evangelization is someone else’s responsibility. It is impossible to be a Christian and not tell others about Jesus. You must reach out with a loving approach and a willingness to listen to their questions. What should you say to people? Follow Philip’s example: “Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning at this Scripture, preached Jesus to him” (Acts 8:35). Simply tell who Jesus is and what He has done for you.
