The Everglades Awareness Benefit Concert is a community building activity with a simple message: We must acknowledge the importance of the Everglades and it must be protected. This is an opportunity for people to come together and support a common cause - our water supply, which is the lifeblood of our entire ecosystem. The Everglades is not a fringe issue - especially if you live in South Florida! The destruction in the name of development is suicide and it must be stopped! Simply put, there should not be oil drilling or fracking in the Everglades and the water pollution needs to be cleaned up! Through Art Activism we creatively engage the public while providing a wide range of people a chance for unique expression! To build up the voices of the citizens, we establish a platform for individuals to come together and learn about the issues in a friendly environment. Then we channel that energy into proactive actions that continue to reach more people. This is a group project, so get involved and make a difference!
