The Fates The Department of Fate and Destiny (DoFD) is located in Elephant and Castle and is the base from which the course of all our lives is decided. There are 3 Fates, they comprise of:- Clotho: The spinner of the golden thread of life. Clotho literally spins the threads of your life without which you would not be able to survive. Lachesis: The decider of fates. She writes the story of your life and death. How fortunate you turn out to be and how long you might live is entirely dependent on what mood Lachesis is in on any given day. Atropos: The unturnable one. It is pointless appealing to any of these ladies if you wish to change your fate, especially Atropos. She is there to ensure everything runs as designed and to cut the golden thread once your life is over. The DoFD cannot share prophesies with mortals and accept no reponsibility for any mishap resulting from fraternising with Gods, demi-gods, immortal creatures or from your own stupidity.
