The Franciscan Center has exciting news! The Center along with 40 other institutions in the region came together last week to sign electricity contracts for 100% wind power. This is a huge step forward for the clean energy economy and community-based movement we are building and blazing a trail. Not only is the Center going to save money on our monthly bills but we are doing it in a way that is responsible for Mother Earth. It is estimated that our group of 41 organizations will now use 18.3 million kWh of 100% renewable energy the next year -- that is the carbon dioxide equivalent of taking nearly 3,000 vehicles off the road! We are truly excited to be a part of this amazing opportunity!
