The Free masons and the knights of the Keplar had to make sure the arc would never be found. It had to remain here on earth until world war three was over. The watchers , actually are angels. The over seeing eyes. They came to earth to give us technology as a means to an end. Once the nuclear holy cost has ended. The souls of the believers will be gathered. As for the watchers, they being of extraterrestrial origin could not completely adapt genetically to the mortals .The watchers spent their time reporting facts and gathering information. They usually developed cancer and passed.
