So Blue Coat peeps..... This week the school and I came to an arrangement and I am now an ex member of staff. I understand that an advertisement for my job goes out shortly. This makes me sad but after all these months (years, almost) it was clear that my voice wasnt going to return enough for me to teach again. Some of the best times of my life were spent at Blue Coat and its outposts The Chart, Whitefriars, Dragon Phoenix (but NOT Jumping Jacks) so thanks to all of you - staff and students - who made it all so memorable and magical. Time to move on and when my passport comes up for renewal and I feel a pang at not being able to put teacher next to occupation, my hope is that by then I will be able to put artist without feeling like a fraud. And as long as I have the strength to hold a glass of lager I hope to see you all here at the annual Debfest xx
