The Gazette article about former Representative Joe Knilans said “Thanks to Deb Kolste and Gov. Scott Walker, Knilans is still in Madison, working to cut the red tape that businesses have long said is a scourge on the state.’’ People have called my house and stopped me on the street to discuss how I helped Mr. Knilans get a state job. I did no such thing. I defeated him soundly in the election for the 44th Assembly District seat. That made him available for a political appointment by the governor.
