The Giver was for the most part a pretty good Movie. Which is no surprise since the Director has quiet a few good movie in his career like The Bone Collector, Patriot Games, and Salt. Though, I went into this movie knowing nothing of the source material, so I cant tell you how faithful the movie was to the book but I was still able to enjoy watching it. I did notice a few continuity errors and there was few scenes that where just retarded. The Character Jonas was acting like he was on ecstasy and Streeps performance as main Antagonist wasnt as good I hope to be but I think it was the characters lack of emotions that had something to do with it. Thank God, for small favors, Taylor Swift didnt have a big role in the movie. I also quiet few unanswered questions on how that world works. I did like that they didnt try to shove a Love Story down my throat with Jonas and Fiona. I also like how the editing and cinematography introduce color through out the movie. Overall, I can say this one of the few Summer Films I did really enjoy.
