The Pet Shop Boys are an English electronic dance music and synthpop duo hailing from London. Formed in 1981, they are pioneers of the synthpop phenomenon that hit the UK in the 80s. Consisting of Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe, they are today ranked as one of the worlds best-selling music acts having sold over 100 million record worldwide - they’re even listed as the most successful duo in UK music history by The Guinness Book of Records and are three-time BRIT Award winners and six-time Grammy nominees. Their back catalogue is more than impressive and the duo have notched up a staggering 42 Top 30 singles, 22 Top 10 hits, and four number ones - as well as them being proud owners of a number of platinum and multi-platinum records.
