The Glasgow Games have been wonderful, fantastic, brillant and outstanding on so many levels. Glasgow has done Scotland proud. Lets hope it not too long before the next Glasgow Commonwealth Games, the first in an independent Scotland. This is Bellacaledonias final report on the Commonwealth Games. Glasgow’s Games BY BELLACALEDONIA on AUGUST 3, 2014 • ( 2 ) By Mike Small As a Commonwealth Cynic I have to admit to a certain pre-Games bah-humbag grumpiness, perhaps fuelled by the whiff of empire-past, the Jaconelli story, the Red Roads Flat debacle and a general default disdain for anything-that-is-not-football. But I’ve been completely blown away by the Glasgow Games.
