The Golden Globes was pretty interesting today. Matt Bomer, an openly Gay actor, won for The Normal Heart. Jeffrey Tambor won for his performance as a Transgender person in Transparent, and he kindly thanked the Transgender community, too. Gina Rodriguez , a Puerto Rican actor from Chicago, wins for her performance on the show Jane The Virgin. George Clooneys tribute to Laren Bacall and Robin Williams was very sweet. He spoke up for human rights and freedom of speech for French cartoonists, and artists everywhere. The song for Selma won a Golden Globe, and common gave a very fair and just speech. I could do without the Bill Cosby rape jokes, but the hosts were pretty funny, anyway. Margaet Cho, as the North Korean official, was hilarious. I now want to see Boyhood, Selma, Birdman, and so many other films nominated. The Grand Budapest Hotel won Best Movie Comedy! Now I want to see that. I secretly wanted Into The Woods to win though!
