The Government has expanded the pre-school Anchor Operator (AOP) - TopicsExpress

The Government has expanded the pre-school Anchor Operator (AOP) Scheme to include private kindergartens and childcare centres, which can apply if they meet criteria set. [tinyurl/nt7djwl] Acting Minister of Social and Family Development Chan Chun Sing said that expanding the AOP Scheme will give more options available for families so that they can give their children the best option possible that are both affordable and of high quality. In return for government grants and subsidies that help reduce operating costs, anchor operators have to cap their monthly fees at $720 for full-day childcare, $160 for kindergarten and $1,275 for infant-care services. Do you welcome this move to improve the affordability and quality of childcare?
