The Great British Year is a new four-part OU/BBC series, presented by Joseph Fiennes, and described as the definitive celebration of the spectacular and dynamic nature of our country over the course of one year. Today, Wednesday 2 October, the first episode of The Great British Year ("Winter") will be shown on BBC One at 9pm. Academic Consultants to the programme are Mandy Dyson and David Robinson from our Department. Rich with wildlife imagery and information to help you make your own observations of our different seasons. Using the guides and images of plants, animals and fungi the poster has suggestions of four observations that can be made each month.
