The Guam Womens Chamber of Commerce and the Bank of Guam voiced support for the proposed minimum wage, which would increase by 95 cents an hour each January until it reaches $10.10 an hour three years from now. Represented by Lou Leon Guerrero, who also is the Bank of Guam president, the Womens Chamber took a stance that helping to narrow the widening gap between minimum-wage workers pay and the double-digit increases in food, housing, transportation and power costs would lead to a better Guam.
