The Hall Trophy Rally provided a nail biting finish to the Kick Energy Junior 1000 championship. For Will Creighton the task was simple - finish the rally! Cue a day of imaginary noises from the car and memories of other competitors having C1 problems during the year. Going into the event the championship leader was still Charlie Barlow who really didnt want to give up the lead that, against the odds, he had held for most of the season. As the day progressed Will made his task seem simple and not only finished but won thereby winning the championship. Behind Will it was a different story with an almighty battle for places in the event and championship. Seb Perez was once again a force to be reckoned with and until a small slip (not of his making) traded blows with Charlie while Will Butler tried to spoil things for both of them and continued his improved driving. At the finish the top 3 were Will Creighton, then Charlie Barlow followed by Will Butler. This was the same order they finished in the championship with Charlie and Will Butler finishing on the same points. This final round produced quality through the entire field, Tommi Meadows put in his usual spirited performance and Will Hunt signed off his time in the Juniors with a solid result. A revised seating position allowed Kay Thompson to easily take her best result in the tricky conditions. Tom Delaney having performed a ballet manoeuvre worthy of a perfect 10 score later damaged his engine and became the only retirement. Although not scoring on this round Zak Hughes once again set some excellent times and will be one to watch for the championship battle next year. The Hall Trophy was also the final round of the Senior championship and with Sam Bilham having won on the previous round Robert Kennedy took a fine win on this final round to finish the year 1 point adrift of Sam.
