The Happy Prince by Oscar Wilde In a town where a lot of poor people suffer, aswallow who was left behind after his flock flew off to Egypt for the winter meets the statue of the late Happy Prince, who in reality has never experienced true happiness. Viewing various scenes of people suffering in poverty from his tall monument, the Happy Prince asks the swallow to take the ruby from his hilt, the sapphires from his eyes, and the golden leaf covering his body to give to the poor. As the winter comes and the Happy Prince is stripped of all of his beauty, his lead heart breaks when the swallow dies as a result of his selfless deeds. The statue is then torn down and melted leaving behind the broken heart and the dead swallow. These are taken up to heaven by an angel that has deemed them the two most precious things in the city by God, so they may live forever in his city of gold and garden of paradise. 행복한 왕자---오스카 와열드 어린이들에 읽어주는 책인데... 어른들에게 아주 적합하다! 어린이들은 이렇게 욕심도 없고 가난의 억울함을 격을 필요도 없는데... 모두 어른들의 탐욕과 과욕과 타락으로 인해..가난이 존제하게된다. 다 나누어 잘 먹고 잘 살 수 있는데. 줄거리--어늘 마을에 아주 잘 생긴 왕자의 동상이 있었다. 아주 멋진 동상에 갑비싼 진주와 보물들이 밖혀 잇었다. 이 동상은 높은 위치에서 가난과 픽박과 설움에 떨고있는 민중을 보면서...아 내 동상에 이 보물을 지니고 있어봣자 무슨 소용인가? 하는 생각을 참새에게 말해..참새가 보물을 팔아서 간난하고 소회된 사람들에게 나누어 주엇다. 하지만...시간이 흐르고 또 볼품없는 동상도 아름답지 않기에...다시 불에 녹여서 영영히 없어지고 참새고 열심히 보물을 나느다..그냥 피곤해 죽어버렷다. 그리고 그 들은 영원한 천국에서 다시 만나기로..약솔을 한다. 희망? 그렇게 생각할 수 있지. 동상? 동상이 뭐 그리 중요해..박정희 이승만 김할란 동상을 지키지 못해 환장을 하는가? 우상선배하기 목슴 내놓고 기를 쓰는 민족! 오늘 난 행복한 왕자 에게 그 무엇을 배웠다. 행복은 그냥 마음 가짐이지..동상도..보물도...가치관도...부도..그 모두가 아니다. 마음가짐이다! 행복합시다!!!!
