The Hard Fact Podium: Folks, in the wake of the government revocation or scrapping of Teacher Trainees Allowance better still what the economists termed sometimes as " Remittance or windfall". Many have expressed their discontents about this move while others have unequivocally expressed their scepticism about the intent of the government to redirect the said allowances to the supposed construction of infrastructure in Colleges of Education which should have the capacity to admit more potential applicants in the said colleges. Folks, be that it may, is the government not, to all intents and purposes disincentivising potential applicants who by virtue of the fact that their admission into college of education will eventually ameliorate the financial hiccups their families have lived with all this years. Are we beginning to see the trace of Fee Paying re-emergence in our public institutions in respect of college of education, and gradual revisitation of privatization of our public institutions? Are we ready, in the wake of another "brain drain" or attrition of teachers in the education sector or the exodus of the teachers from the said sector to other sectors within and beyond our boarders?
