The Hart Ranch Rodeo in Rapid City is one of my most local events of the year only being 100 miles away. That was until we were in town yesterday and Quigley misplaced the keys to the truck parked in the load in/out gate. After I ran back home, then back to Rapid with spare keys in a rush because we had to trailer horses from the pen to the arena, it felt more life a photo finish rodeo run. Not too mention my traveling partners snuck in some Taylor Swift & Miley Cyrus into my jams. Sadly, Rango didnt mind. We drove back home last night for church this morning, and have the last and final perf tonight. Its been some great rodeo action. Dewy Oday is the only qualified rides in bulls so far with 87 points. Shane Oconnel is leading the bares with 80 points. Ty Manke has a strong lead in broncs with 88 points. Shadow Jensen has been the only other two qualified rides in broncs with a 79 and 75 for 2nd & 3rd. Everyone else has bucked off in the broncs. We just cant seem to get Shadow on the ground.
