**The Hero** I wish I was that book you would read a few pages everyday Holding it while asleep Hiding it deep inside – never letting me die. I wish I was that bird Flying around your balcony. Waiting to lose the freedom In a cage of love and comfort. With a salient pride of being yours. I wish I was that phone call That made you smile In an auspicious day. The one that doesnt need to hang up. The tone that soothes your ears. I wish I was your Hero. Who will be there by your side. In thick and thin, red and blue. Who will open your curtains in the sunrise And lightens lamps in the sunset. I wish I was the Hero in this story. You would have desired me for a second, for an hour. For every night. But I’m not. I made harmony with the fact. I don’t lead your story. I look at you from a distance. I clap for you from the side lines. I’m just a piece of a puzzle in your great amazing life I’m the book, the bird, the phone call. I fit in - that’s my role.
