The Holiday season is almost over, but at the same time theres still so much more time left. The thing about this tme of year that we should really take into account is that its all about family, and spending time with the people who make you happy. When Im not doing something makeup realted I work in a retail store. I hate this time of year just because of that. People rush for sales, trying to buy up everything before another person gets the chance, being rude to the sales associated (who in all honesty only want to get out of here without killing a customer). I feel like the older I get, the more jaded I get about this season. When I was a kid, it was all about the magic of the season, getting presents, spending time with your family, christmas dinner, and just being happy. The older Ive gotten the more mad I get about the magic I once felt being gone. The funny thing about that though, is once it actually gets to Noche Buena (Latin Christmas) all those feelings melt away. I forget how much I hate the greed I see at work, the annoying questions I have to answer every ten seconds, the rude people, and all I think about is how grateful I am to be with my family. The older you get, the more you have to realize that you need to create your own magic. You appreciate the little things alot more- being with your loved ones, smiles, happiness, and knowing that there are peole who care about you.
