The Holy Bible states that Holy Spirit (third person of the Holy Trinity) has roles/jobs to fulfill, like a person, he has will, volition, and he carries out assignments, for example one of his jobs is to distribute spiritual gifts to each convert. He also curves sin in the world. The Holy Spirits jobs/roles are to: 1. He teaches (John 14:26). 2. He testifies (John 15:26). 3. He guides (Rom. 8:14). 4. He speaks (1 Cor. 2:13). 5. He enlightens (John 16:13). 6. He strives (Gen. 6:3). 7. He commands (Acts 8:29). 8. He intercedes (Rom. 8:26). 9. He sends workers (Acts 13:4). 10. He calls (Rev. 22:17). 11. He comforts (John 16:7). 12. He works (1 Cor. 12:11). 1. He teaches (John 14:24-27). 24Jesus stated to the Apostles before he was crucified: 25 “All this I have spoken while still with you. 26 But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. 27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. He guides (Rom. 8:14). 14 For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. 15 The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” 16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. 17 Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. 4. He speaks (1 Cor. 2:13). 13 This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words. 5. He enlightens (John 16:13). 13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. 6. He strives (Gen. 6:3). 3 Then the LORD said, “My Spirit will not contend with[a] humans forever, for they are mortal[b]; their days will be a hundred and twenty years.” 7. He commands (Acts 8:29). 29 The Spirit told Philip, “Go to that chariot and stay near it.” 8. He intercedes (Rom. 8:26). 26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. 27 And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God. 9. He sends workers (Acts 13:4). 4 The two of them, sent on their way by the Holy Spirit, went down to Seleucia and sailed from there to Cyprus. 10. He calls (Rev. 22:17). 17 The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life. 11. He comforts (John 16:7). 7 But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. 12. He works (1 Cor. 12:11). 11 All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines. The Acts of the Person of the Holy Spirit: Verses about the Holy Spirit John 14:16 - And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever; 17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. Exodus 35:31 - And he hath filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship; 32 And to devise curious works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, 33 And in the cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of wood, to make any manner of cunning work Numbers 14:24 - But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and hath followed me fully, him will I bring into the land whereinto he went; and his seed shall possess it. Psalm 51:10 - Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Isaiah 63:11- Then he remembered the days of old, Moses, and his people, saying, Where is he that brought them up out of the sea with the shepherd of his flock? where is he that put his Holy Spirit within him? Now thou, O Belteshazzar, declare the interpretation thereof, forasmuch as all the wise men of my kingdom are not able to make known unto me the interpretation: but thou art able; for the spirit of the holy gods is in thee. Luke 3:16 - John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire: Luke 4:1 - And Jesus being full of the Hol y Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, Luke 11:13 - If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him? Act 2:38 - Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 1 Corinthians 12:3 - Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost. Ephesians 1:13 - In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise, Ephesians 4:30 - And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. Luke 12:10 - And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven.
