The Hon. Commissioner for Science and Technology Hon Florence Chidinma Nwogu brought a release to Vision Africa Radio this evening reminding Abians that there will be a partial eclipse of the sun this Sunday Nov. 3, 2013. The release said the moon will partially cover the sun as seen from the earth. This can be observed when the moon moves between the Earth and the sun and the three celestial bodies form a straight line. The eclipse which she described as a normal natural phenomenon under physical Science will start at about 1.05pm in Umuahia with its peak at 2:44pm and end 4.08pm. She therefore advised Abians to go about their normal businesses without fear and not to view the phenomenon directly with naked eyes but with the use of thick glasses to protected their eyes from the glare. I bring this to the notice of friends so that you call your aged parents/family members in the village to be aware and not panic. The earth remains the Lords including the fullness thereof...Bless u friends!!!!!!!!!!!! @@@@@Source/Ref:Evang UC@@@@@
