The Hoover Dam Story (The Red Dawn) Pt 14 (extended as requested) The Punch line: Hu and Ming jumped from the ceiling of the small sleeping quarters and landed on the back of the two sentry bots. The senseless machines took noticed of the two men hanging on to their back with their sensors. They began to spin wild around with the wheels at their legs. Ming and Hu both clanged onto the machine’s cold metallic back with all their might, trying not to get shook off with the sheer horsepower of the two machines. It almost looked like cowboys riding on top of their raging bulls in a bull riding competition. “Hostile detected! Security Code: Red.” The two sentry bots raised their right arm and began firing. Rains of red and yellow danced and bounced within the tight small sleeping quarters. However, as Ming and Hu hung onto their backs, the destructive power of the Gatling laser and machine guns had no effect of them. Financial clipboards, wooden tables, plates were all shattered and flew across the room. Papers fell like snow inside the sleeping quarters. “Just like that day…” Ming thought. Flashes of a distanced past began to surface within Ming’s mind. A withered dead branch dangled weakly against the cold wind. Tiny flakes of snow flew across the air; so white, so pure. They danced in the air like little angels… The snow beneath his feet was spotted with pink and red. A puddle of blood right where he was crouching. There was someone, a blurry humanoid shape, was right there, in Ming’s arms. “Ming…Ming…” a weak voiced echoed from the corner of his head. “MING!!!!!” Hu’s roar ripped through the blur of Ming’s past and snapped Ming out into the present. “Watch out!” The sentry bot Hu was clinging onto, took aim at Ming, who was clinging onto the other sentry bot. “Firing.” Rat tat tat tat tat. The machine guns fired restlessly and relentlessly towards Ming. Ming flipped himsell on top of the sentry bot. the bullets missed Ming and shot directly at the sentry bot’s combat inhibitor. But the steel door was sturdy, the rain of bullets only managed to put a few blunts and tiny holes into the armor. But that was all Ming needed. Ming pulled out his sword and began hacking and stabbing the tiny steel door wildly, with all his might. The hole grew gradually bigger and bigger with every strike, however the sword gave way and got bat away when the sentry bot turned. But Ming could not afford to hesitate, he rammed is fingers into holes the bullets and sword caused, and began to pull. The door was solid and was still stuck on the sentry bot’s back like a nail. “COME ON!!!” Ming screamed. Sweat began to drop from his forehead and cheek. His helmet began to become foggy from the heat within. Pop!!! The steel door came off from the machine and the red and blue wires were exposed into Ming’s sight. Ming rammed his hand inside the combat inhibitor and began to pull the wires with his barehands. The electric grazed across his hand and burnt his hand, but Ming could not stop, he pulled and pulled until… BZZZZZZZZZT The wires were pulled out of the combat inhibitor, the sentry bot was shut down. Tic…tic….tic.. “Rebooting: re-evaluating hostiles. Engaging” The sentry bot lit up again. Black smokes began to come out from the machine. “RUN!!!!” Ming shouted to Hu, who was still hanging onto his sentry bot. “Hostile Detected. Number of hostiles: one. Metallic alloy.” Ming and Hu got out of the sleeping quarter just in time before the sentry bot finished scanning the environment. And Hu closed the door behind them and locked the two combat machine inside the room. GRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOMMMMMM BAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNGGGGGGGG Noises of shots being fired, Missiles exploding, and sentry bots’ metallic commands could be heard from the room. Until, they could hear two explosions. They knew, the threats had been eliminated, with their own hands. Ming panted and had sweat all over his body, the screen in his helmet were foggy from the heat Ming generated, he was exhausted from fighting with the sentry bot and he looked at Hu, who was doing the exact same thing. They looked at each other, and they laughed. “Guess that’s one wild tale to tell when we get back.” Ming said. “Security Breach. Security Breach alert. Noncombatants are advised top leave the area,” Four more sentry bots appeared out of the gates from the corridor. Their lights in their head lit up simultaneously as they locked onto Ming and Hu. There was no escape… “HEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!” A wild crazy yell came from the air exhaust pip on the ceiling, which caught all the attention of the 4 sentry bots, they gathered up under the pipe and began scanning. Suddenly, a dozen disc looking objects with the colour of white and blue were dropped onto the sentry bots. They attached themselves to the sentry bots and began sparkling. Beep beep beep, the spider drones made such sound as they light up. BZZZZZZZZZZZT!!!!! Powerful electric field were transferred from the spider drones onto the sentry bots, which flailed and burnt up on the spot, rendering them “powerless”. A humanoid shape can be seem from the black fumes the exhausting the sentry bots. A man with a crazed wild grin on his face. “Joker!!!” Ming and Hu exclaimed as they were never happier to see their comrade’s arrival.
