The House On Willow Lane (continued) parts 41-48 The End Part 41 of The House On Willow Lane Janet Adams comes to, she is lying on the ground. Janet has a blinding headache. She looks around, cant see much because it is dark, and she cant remember how she got here, or where here is. Janet looks around again, the sun is up, it is a beautiful day. She is in a field, she sits up, and rubs her head for a moment. Her headache begins to subside after a moment, and she looks around again. The field that she is in is surrounded by mountains on two sides, and she realizes that she is in the valley. The valley is beautiful, the trees are in full bloom. There are beautiful flowers around the field, with many different colors represented. The day is nice and warm, there is a slight breeze blowing, and the smells that the breeze brings her, reminds her of childhood, reminds her of growing up in the foothills of Virginia. The smells of honeysuckles, flowers, fresh cut grass, and even a slight whiff of a bad smell, the smell of a skunks spray. The smell of the skunks spray is brief, very mild, like it might have sprayed something miles away. How did I get here, I cant remember anything. Where am I, is this a dream, I cant remember a thing, Janet thinks. Janet stands up, a bolt of pain rips through her head, and she staggers a bit, but she stays on her feet. Janet closes her eyes and lets the pain pass. The pain subsides after a moment, Janet opens her eyes, and looks around. She is still in the valley. This cant be a dream, you cant feel pain in a dream. Where am I, it reminds me of growing up in Virginia, but this isnt the foothills, this is a valley, Janet thinks. Janet hears birds in the trees nearby, hears running water from a stream or river, but she doesnt hear or see anything else to tell her where she is. Janet turns in a full circle, looking everywhere, but sees nothing to tell her where she is. Janet hears a scraping noise, it is out of place in the valley, its a foreign sound. Janet turns in a full circle, looking everywhere, but she cant pinpoint the source of the sound. A brief memory flickers in Janets mind, it is there and gone in an instant, and Janet still has no clue as to where she is or how she got here. The scraping noise comes again, it is faint, she can barely hear it over the birds and the running water. Janet turns in a full circle, looks everywhere, but cant pinpoint the sound, and sees nothing that would make that kind of sound. As Janet stops turning, she looks ahead of her, and sees a white wall. Janet cant remember seeing the wall a moment before, it wasnt there. The wall looks very odd, but Janet cant figure out why it looks odd, it is too far away, but it looks very peculiar. After standing where she is for a minute, Janet begins to walk toward the wall. A brief memory flickers through her mind, it is of another white wall, and Janet stops walking. The memory is brief and fragmented, all that Janet can remember is a white wall, but nothing else. After a moment, Janet begins to walk again, a dread begins to creep over Janet, but she has no idea why. As Janet gets close enough to see the white wall, she realizes why the wall looks odd, because it is a wall of human bones. Janet screams, then memories of all that has happened to her come flooding back. Janet hears laughter behind her, it is sinister. Janet spins around, looks all around, there is no one there. Janet begins to hear movement behind her, lots of movement. Janet spins around, looks at the wall, the wall is now black, and it appears to be moving. As Janet looks at the wall, she realizes why the wall is black, it is covered with cockroaches, thousands of them. The cockroaches are big, much bigger than they should be, some appear to be as big as rats. Janet begins to back away from the wall, then she hears a voice behind her that chills her to the bone, it is the voice from earlier. What, you dont like my pets? First you dont like my collection of human bones, now you dont like my pets, Im seeing a pattern here. Im beginning to think that you might not like me, the voice says. Janet spins around, there is no one there. As Janet looks all around, she feels something crawling up her legs. She looks down and screams. Cockroaches are crawling up her legs. Janet begins to shake her legs, trying to get them off, but that does no good. Janet screams, begins to hit them, and is finally able to knock them off. Janet looks back over her shoulder, the wall is once again white, but the ground below it is a black moving mass. The cockroaches are coming for Janet. Janet screams, turns her head to the front, and begins to run through the field. As Janet runs, the valley around her begins to become transparent, then the dirt begins to change, and it becomes a concrete floor. As Janet continues to run, the valley disappears around her, and walls begin the form to her right and left. The walls are white, they are built with human bones. Janet continues to run, the laughter begins behind her, and it seems to be chasing her up the hallway. Janet screams and begins to run even faster. As Janet continues to run, she notices that the walls beside her are turning black. She glances at the walls, and sees cockroaches. Janet screams, continues to look at the wall, instead of where she is running. Janet stumbles, tries to keep her balance, then trips over her own feet. Janet fall face first to the floor. She begins to hear movement all around her, then she feels things crawling on her, they are all over her. Janet screams, rolls over, looks at herself, and sees the black moving mass covering her. Janet screams again, and begins to flail about. Cockroaches begin to crawl on her face, over her eyes, in her mouth, in her ears, and in her hair. Janets mind slips a cog, then another, and then it goes away. All the while, the laughter is there, it echoes off the white walls, the walls of human bones. **** Part 42 of The House On Willow Lane Bob Adams comes to, looks around, but cant see anything. It is dark, Bob begins to wait for his eyes to adjust. Where am I, what is going on, I cant remember anything, Bob thinks. Bob continues to look around in the darkness, his eyes slowly begin to adjust, but all that he can make out are dark shapes in the darkness. Where am I, what is going on? I cant remember a thing, how did I get here, and where is here? Bob wonders. Bob begins to hear an odd noise, he cant make it out because it is very faint, but it begins to get louder as Bob listens. The noise is a horrifying sound, it is a roaring sound, and it continues to get louder. Before long it is extremely loud, and it seems to be coming from everywhere. RRWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!! What the hell is that noise, what is going on? I have to get out of here, Bob thinks. The noise gets louder, Bob puts his hands over his ears, and begins to scream as the noise intensifies. After a moment, the noise stops, it is there one moment, and gone the next. Bob stop screaming, takes his hands off his ears, lowers them, and looks around. The silence is almost deafening after the noise, Bob listens closely, but doesnt hear a thing except for his breathing, which is rapid. Bob has remembered everything that is happened to him, he looks around, but cant see much, it is too dark. I have to get out of here, Bob thinks. Nothing happens for a moment, then the room around him is filled with screams, the screaming is loud, even louder than the other noise, and the screams seem to be coming from everywhere. It sounds like millions screaming. Bob puts his hands over his ears, and begins to add his screams to the other screams. The screams make Bobs flesh break out in goosebumps, the hair on the back of his next stands up, and begins to crawl. The screams stop abruptly, and Bob stops screaming. He takes his hands off his ears, and lowers his hands. I have to get out of here, I have to find a way out here, Bob thinks. Bob hears a growl behind him, it is faint, Bob almost misses hearing it. Bob looks all around, but sees nothing. A moment later, the screams began again, Bob begins to scream, and covers his ears. The screams intensify, get even louder, and Bob begins to run even though he cant see much. He begins to run into things in the darkness, he bounces off of them, and keeps on running. He looks like a human pinball, bouncing off of things, just like a pinball bounces off of things in the game. After a few moments, the screams stop as suddenly as they began, and Bob stops running. He takes his hands off his ears, lowers his hands, and begins to try to calm down. Bob looks all around, trying to see everywhere at once, but he still cant see much of anything. Bob hears a faint growl, he looks all around, but can see nothing. The roaring sound comes back, it doesnt start gradually like before, it is loud this time when it starts, louder than it was before. RRWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!! Bob screams, puts his hands to his ears, and begins to run. He has no idea where he is going, he is just trying to get away from the noise, but the noise seems to be coming from everywhere. As the noise continues, it begins to intensify, then a red glow begins to strobe on and off. What the glow reveals to Bob, terrifies him. A cold chill surges through Bob, as if his blood has turned to ice water. Bob is surrounded by beast of all shapes and sizes, and many different looks. Some of the beast are covered in fur, others have green scaly skin, others have rotting flesh with green ozing sores, and others appear to be demon like, but all are horrifying looking. Bob goes on running and screaming, the beast begin to close in on Bob from all sides. Bobs mind slips a cog, then another, then another, and his mind goes away. Bobs mind hasnt gone away permanently, but it is close to coming unhinged. Bob is on the brink, one more shove, even a small one, will be all that it takes. The noise stops, the red glow stops strobing, and the beast disappear into the darkness. **** Part 43 of The House On Willow Lane Janet Adams comes to, little by little, and becomes aware of the fact that she has been sleeping on a hard surface, in an odd position. Janet sits up, looks around, and realizes that she is in an old hallway. Janet frowns. What am I doing here? Why am I sleeping on a concrete floor? Where am I and how did I get here? I cant remember a thing, Janet thinks. Janet stands up, stretches, and her back pops. She moves her arms around, trying to loosen her shoulders up, and she moves her head around, to get the stiffness out of her neck. After Janet stretches for a few moments, she looks at the hallway, it is old and the paint is peeling off the walls. Where the hell am I, I dont recognize this place. Why am I here? Janet wonders. Janet looks up and down the hallway, she sees a door nearby, and she walks over to it. She tries the doorknob, it turns, and she opens the door. Janet looks through the open doorway, sees a big room, it is the size of a big warehouse, and the room looks empty. Where am I, I dont recognize anything, how did I get here? Janet wonders. Janet walks through the open doorway, looks around the room, it is empty. Janet stands where she is for a moment, then she begins to walk. She is walking toward the other side of the room, hoping to find a way out. As Janet walks, she notices that some of the lights in the room flicker on and off, but she doesnt pay much attention to the lights, she is focused on finding a way out of the room. What Janet fails to notice, since she isnt looking behind herself, is that the lights behind her turn off as she walks out of range of them. The lights behind her stay off, when they turn off. Janet also fails to hear the sound coming from the darkness behind her, it is very faint, but it is there. The sound is a clicking noise, it is faint, but there are clicking sounds all in the darkness. Janet continues to walk, unaware of what is happening behind her. Janet finally sees what she is looking for, an exit sign. Janet begins to walk faster toward the exit sign, her footfalls echo off of the concrete floor. The lights keep shutting off behind her, but she doesnt notice, she is focused on getting to the exit sign. The clicks continue in the darkness, they are getting louder, but Janet doesnt notice the noise, she is focused on getting to the exit sign, plus the darkness doesnt want her to hear the noises, it is hiding the noise from Janet. Under the clicking noises, another noise begins, it is a clacking noise, and below that, is a whisper. The whisper is faint, it would be audible to anyone listening, if the darkness werent hiding it. The whisper is quieter than the clicks and clacks, but it is there. The whispered voice is a womans voice, and it keeps repeating the same five phrases. The phrases are, you shouldnt be here, you need to go, this place is evil, stay out of the darkness, dont turn around. Janet continues walking toward the exit sign, as she gets closer to it, she finally begins to hear the clicks and clacks. Janet stops walking, looks over her shoulder, and sees nothing in the room, everything appears normal, its just an empty room, and it is well lit. Janet looks around for a moment longer, then looks back toward the exit sign. The room behind her goes dark again, the clicks, the clacks, and the whisper begins again, but Janet doesnt notice. Janet is focused on the exit sign, it was very close just a moment ago, but now it is a long ways away, as far away as when she first saw it. Janet frowns, then begins to walk toward the sign again, she is walking fast. The noises continue behind her, the whisper also continues, and the lights keep shutting off behind her. A new noise begins in the darkness, it is music, but without any words. Janet doesnt hear the music, it is faint. The tune sounds familiar, but it is too faint and broken up to figure out what the song is. Janet doesnt hear any of the noises, the darkness keeps the sound in, hiding it from Janet, but the darkness will soon stop hiding the sounds. Janet continues to walk toward the exit sign, it seems to get closer, then it seems to be further away the next time that Janet looks at it. The sign seems to be moving, or the room seems to be growing. An unease begins to creep in on Janet. She has no clue why, she cant remember anything that has happened all day, and she cant remember how she got here, but the feeling of unease is strong, and it is beginning to sink its claws deeper into her. As Janet gets closer to the exit sign, for what feels like the hundredth time, but is only the fourth time, she begins to hear the noises behind her. She hears the clicks, the clacks, the whisper, and the music. Memories begin to rush back to her, Janet remembers everything in an instant, and she begins to shake. Oh shit, I have to get out of here. I have to escape, Janet thinks. Janet turns around, the lights are off behind her, and she hollers out in surprise. The clicks, the clacks, and the music gets louder, then the noises seem to be coming from all around her. Janet turns around in a full circle, all the lights are off in the room, except for the one right above her. Janet begins to shake even harder, almost uncontrollably. The noises get louder, the music begins to get louder, and she recognizes the song. The song is, Pop Goes The Weasel, only its a much scarier version than Janet has ever heard. The music is slow, its a little broken up, it reminds you of someone cranking on the crank of a Jack-in-the-Box. The light above Janet flickers off, then comes back on, and Janet screams. There is a big box in front of Janet, a big version of a Jack-in-the-Box, the crank on the side is turning by itself. Janet begins to back away from the box, all the lights turn on in the room, and she sees big Jack-in-the-Boxes all over the room. The cranks on the sides are all turning by themselves. Janet screams, turns to run toward the exit sign, and sees that it is no longer there. Janet sees that she is surrounded by giant Jack-in-the-Boxes, and she screams again. Janet hears a pop and boing, then another, then another. Janet begins to hear the noise all around the room, then she hears it right behind her. Janet spins around and screams. A big Jack-in-the-Box is coming out of the box, it is reaching down for Janet. Janet begins to back away quickly, she trips, and falls on her ass. The Jack-in-the-Box continues to come for her, reaching for her, and she begins to crawl backwards, using her elbows. The Jack-in-the-Box grabs Janets ankle and begins to drag her toward the box. Janet screams and goes on screaming, as the Jack-in-the-Box drags her into the box. The top slams shut, and Janet continues to scream in the darkness, as her mind slips a cog, then another, and then it goes away. Janets mind isnt permanently gone, it is close, but it has just gone on a temporary vacation, it will be back, eventually. Janets mind isnt quite as bad as Bobs, but its close, it wont take much more for Janets mind to come unhinged. **** Part 44 of The House On Willow Lane Bob Adams comes to, looks around, and doesnt recognize where he is, he also cant remember anything about how he got here. Bob is in a hallway, it is old, he has no idea where the hallway is. Bob looks up and down the hallway, sees open doorways at both ends. He looks both ways, stands where he is, trying to remember how he got here. Bob begins to hear voices from one end of the hallway, he looks that way, and sees a light flickering bright and dim. After looking at the light and listening to the voices for a moment, Bob realizes that its a TV. Maybe someone is in there, maybe they can tell me where I am, Bob thinks. Bob turns and begins to walk toward the open doorway, he isnt listening to the words coming from the TV, hes trying to see into the room. The room is dark, the only light is coming from the TV. The light flickers bright and dim, as images change on the TV screen, but Bob doesnt pay attention to the TV, he is trying to see into the room as he walks up the hallway. The light flickering bright and dim makes it impossible for Bob to make out anything about the room. Bob begins to hear a noise coming from the room, it is almost drowned out by the voices coming from the TV, but it is a buzzing noise. Bob stops walking, listen to the noise for a moment, then he realizes that it is flies buzzing around. From the sound of the noise, it sounds like a lot of flies. Bob begins to walk toward the room again, then he begins to actually hear the voice from the TV, he stops walking, and a cold chill runs through him. Bob Adams is approaching the room now, this ought to be quite a riot when he sees whats in the room. I bet he will scream like a little girl, and runaway and tear. What do you think audience, thats thats a fair assessment, wouldnt you say? The voice on the TV says, then there is laughter. Bob turns around and begins to walk away from the room fast. Well, I was wrong, Bob chickened out before he ever got to the room, but the other room is worse, the voice says and then there is laughter from the TV. This isnt happening, this isnt real, its a nightmare, Bob thinks. A moment after Bob thinks this, he hears this same thought spoken aloud, coming from the TV, in his own voice. There is laughter from the TV, then a voice says, there you have it folks, this isnt real, its just a nightmare. Lets watch and see what happens next, this is getting good. This is the kind of programming youve come to expect from us here at, Screaming Until Madness, and we will continue to bring you this kind of entertainment. We are live in the house on Willow Lane. Dont forget folks, right after this show is over, tune in to, Trapped In The Field. That show is a lot of fun. It seems like we have a few minutes to kill, because were waiting on Bob to decide which door to go to now, hes just standing in the hallway with stupefied look on his face as you can clearly see. I want to remind you to tune into, Inside Room 314, next week. That is such a great show and its an incredible vacation. If youve never stayed in Room 314, then you dont know what youre missing. The cost is very reasonable, only three days of your life, but whats that when you have millions of years left. The cost is absolutely nothing for the value that you receive. You get a great view, its a really amazing view at that hotel, and you get to scare the guest that is staying in that room. What more can you ask for the vacation, its a great value. I will admit, it might not be very relaxing the first day or so, with all those screams, but the screams end after the guest goes insane. It is amazing staying in Room 314. I see we can go back to Bob now, he seems to be coming out of the stupor, so lets watch and see what happens next. Well turn the volume way down, so he wont be able to hear us this time, and we will see what he does now, the voice from the TV says, then the volume turns down on the TV. Bob has indeed stopped walking in the hallway, as the voice on the TV said, his mind quits working for a few moments, and he has had a stupefied look on his face. Bob slowly begins to come around again, with no memory of what just occurred a few minutes before, or any memory of what has happened all day. Bob looks around, sees he is in an old hallway, and he sees an open doorway at both ends of the hallway. What is going on, where am I? Bob wonders. This also comes from the TV, in Bobss voice, but the volume is almost on mute, and Bob doesnt hear it or the laughter that follows. Bob looks back and forth between the two open doors, then turns and walks away from the room with the flickering TV. Laughter comes from the TV, along with the announcers voice, but Bob doesnt hear it. Bob walks to the open door, looks in, and stops. He opens his mouth the scream, but his vocal chords lock shut. What comes out of his mouth, instead of a scream, is a stream of puke, as Bob vomits on the floor. The room in front of Bob is filled with dismembered bodies. Flies buzz all around the room, they are crawling all over the bodies, and Bob also sees maggots crawling all over the bodies. Bob also sees cockroaches everywhere, some of them are climbing in and out of open mouths, and in some cases, in and out of empty eye sockets. Bobs mind begins to strip its gears, his vocal chords finally unlock, and he begins to scream. Bob goes on screaming, as his mind comes unhinged, and stops working altogether. Meanwhile, as Bobs mind is coming unhinged, the volume on the TV begins to turn up. Laughter comes from the TV, its a sinister laughter. **** Part 45 of The House On Willow Lane Janet Adams comes to, looks around but can see nothing. It is completely dark, she begins to wait for eyes to adjust to the darkness. Where am I, what is going on? Janet wonders. Janet hears a click, it is faint, like it is possibly coming from the other side of a wall. Janet begins to feel around, she feels a wall in front of her, it is a metal wall. Janet begins to feel around, and she feels a wall to her left. She hears another click, it is still faint, but a sense of dread begins to creep over her. She has no memory of how she got here, or where here is, but the dread creeps in, and Janet feels like she should remember what is going on. Janet remembers everything that she did yesterday, at least she thinks it happened yesterday, but she cant remember a thing about today, it is as if her mind has been wiped clean like you would wipe a computer disk clean. Janet feels around the wall to her right, and feels another wall. She hears another click. The three walls are close together, and Janet begins to panic, she is claustrophobic. Janet turns around, begins to feel behind her, and feel some kind of silky fabric. Janet begins to hear clicks and clacks, then a music tune begins to play, it is, Pop Goes The Weasel. Janet backs against the wall behind her, as the memories begin to come back to her, she remembers what has happened and where she is. Janet remembers being pulled into a giant Jack-in-the-Box. The music begins to play faster, then the top pops open, light floods into the box, and Janet sees the Jack-in-the-Box before her. The Jack-in-the-Box is more terrifying than any that Janet has ever seen before, and it is big. It looks absolutely demonic, with red blazing eyes, and a mouthful of sharp teeth. It is grinning at Janet. Janet begins to scream, then she turns, and begins to beat on the wall in front of her. The wall is solid, Janet beating on it with her fist does no good, and the Jack begins to laugh. Something grabs Janet, she looks over her shoulder, and sees the Jack open its mouth and begin to bend down toward her. Janet screams, tries to pull away, and the Jack laughs. As the Jack begins to bend down, the box begins to get dark. Light begins to pour into the box from Janets left, and she sees an open doorway Janet jerks away from the Jack, it grabs for her, and she ducks underneath it reaching hand. Janet runs to the open door, runs through, and the door slams shut behind her. Light was flooding into the box from this room a moment before, but the room is now mostly dark. Janet looks around but can see nothing clearly, all she can see are shapes in the room. The shapes are big, and there is a lot of them, but Janet cant tell what the shapes are. After a moment, light begins to flood the room, Janet looks around, and sees big, tall glass containers. The containers are all full of humans. Janet screams, tries to turn around, and realizes that she cant move. Janet looks all around, and realizes that she is also in a big glass container. What the hell, whats going on? Janet wonders. Janet hears movement outside of the container, she looks around, and sees a man dressed in black step out of the shadows. His face is solid white, it looks demonic, and his eyes are solid red. He grins at Janet, revealing a mouthful of sharp teeth. Time to dream Janet, you will be my new play toy later. I want to save you, youre a lot of fun. I want to play with you often, so Ill let you believe that you have escaped. Ill let you believe that your life is back to normal, Ill let your mind heal itself, then Ill play with you again. Ill keep doing that for eternity, itll be fun, the man in black says. Janet begins to scream, then a moment later, the scream stops in mid-scream. Janet is in the glass container, her eyes are closed, and she is smiling. In her mind, Janet is waking from a refreshing day of sleeping. She looks around the room, cant see much, but she can see enough to know that she is in her room. Janet looks next to her, in bed, and sees that Bob is still asleep. She looks at the clock, sees it as an hour before the alarm will go off, and she eases out of bed. She doesnt want to wake Bob, so she moves around the room quietly. Janet get dressed, then eases the door open, and walks out into the hallway. When Janet turns around, she is standing in a field, it is surrounded by mountains on two sides. Janet frowns, but just for a moment, then she begins to walk through the valley. She has remembered that she is on vacation, they are staying in a big house, in the valley. The vacation is much needed, it is so relaxing here in the valley, and so beautiful. Janet walks through the valley, enjoying the beauty all around her, and thinking nothing of home, or of the house at the end of Willow Lane. **** Part 46 of The House On Willow Lane As Janet Adams is in fantasyland, dreaming of being in the beautiful valley, the man in black stands in front of the glass container that Janet is trapped in, he grins his evil grin. The man in black watches Janet in her container for a moment, then he glances at the other newly filled containers, there are ten new ones, including Janets. The man in black looks at each of the other nine, there is John Riley, Rick Johnson, Peggy Johnson, Cindy Ferguson, Rob Allen, Chris Williams, Linda Williams, Debbie Riley, and Bob Adams. All but one of the nine are probably too far gone for the man in black to have any more fun with, because their minds are too far gone, but there is one that he can have fun with later, John Riley. The man in black will keep an eye on the other eight, they are probably gone forever, but hell keep them around, just in case. Occasionally one comes back, and the man in black is able to have a bit of fun, but most times their usefulness is all used up. After the man in black looks at the newly filled glass containers, he turns, and looks at the thousands that fill the room around him. The room is filled to capacity, there are actually 2,537,062 glass containers, all filled. The room can grow to allow one more, or five, or ten, or even one hundred containers, there is always room for more. The evil entities attitude has always been, the more the merrier. After the man in black looks at the glass containers for a moment, he turns, and looks through a window, into the land of the children of lost souls. The man in black spots Jimmy Riley, and the man in black smiles. Jimmy has his back to the man in black, but then Jimmy turns around. Jimmys eyes are solid white, and his lips are sewed shut. Jimmy is alive, he is safe for now, but the man in black will have his fun with him, when Jimmy turns twenty-one. When Jimmy turns twenty-one, he will end up in a glass container, just like the rest. The land of the children of lost souls has over 1,000,000 children at the moment, but the number drops occasionally, but then the room of glass containers grows. **** Meanwhile out on Willow Lane, the road is deserted at the moment, nothing moves. A few minutes go by, and nothing happens, then Shana Harvey walk into sight. Shana is twelve, she is thinking about nothing much in particular, except for trying to get her Street, so she can catch the ice cream truck. The ice cream truck is a little odd, it always seems to be playing Christmas music, even in the middle of summer. Shana doesnt worry about what the ice cream truck plays for music, it can be Christmas music or Halloween music as far as Shana is concerned, as long as she can get the ice cream sandwich that she wants. It would be a bit creepy, if the ice cream truck played Halloween music, but it would still be fine, as long as she could get that ice cream sandwich. Shana knows that the ice cream truck wont be coming around for much longer, it will be cold soon, so she wants to catch it now. Shana Harvey looks down Willow Lane as she begins to walk across the road, and she stops walking. The house at the end of the street has a bright white light shining out of every visible window. The light is almost too bright to look at, but Shana looks, she is almost helpless not to. As Shana watches, she begins to hear a rumbling sound, then the ground beneath her begins to shake. All thoughts of the ice cream truck have been driven from Shanas mind, she has no clue what is going on, all she knows is that she is terrified and she wants to get away. A loud noise begins on Willow Lane. WWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! The noise seems to be coming from everywhere. Shana screams and covers her ears. The loud noise and rumbling continues. Shana tries to move, but her feet feel like they are stuck to the ground. The house on the corner begins to split apart, then the one across from it follow suit. Within a few moments, all the houses on Willow Lane are splitting apart, except for the house at the end of the street, that house seems to be completely untouched and unaffected by what is happening to the rest of the houses on the street. The rest of the houses on Willow Lane begin to collapse, one after the other, it almost seems like an orchestrated, and synchronized move. Within moments, eight of the nine houses on Willow Lane have been reduced to rubble, the only house still standing, is the house at the end of the street, it remains untouched. As soon as the last house collapses on Willow Lane, the loud noise and shaking ceases. The strange light coming from the house at the end of the street winks out. Shana watches the houses fall, one after the other, she is paralyzed by fear, but she is finally able to move when the last house falls. Shana has forgotten about the ice cream truck, she has mostly forgotten about everything, except for the fact that she needs to get away. **** Part 47 of The House On Willow Lane Shana Harvey runs off in terror, and gets home as quickly as possible. She goes straight to her room and doesnt come out for the rest of the day. Shana escapes Willow Lane, but it leaves its mark on her for years to come. She has nightmares, nightly, about the house on Willow Lane. The nightmares are of things that she would have experienced for real, if she had of entered the house. The evil entity would have sent her to the land of the children of lost souls, but it would have had a bit of fun with her first. 911 is jammed up with calls about the strange noises and rumbling noises from Willow Lane. Even though every house, but one, is destroyed on Willow Lane, not one house on the surrounding streets receives even a little damage. Police, fire, and rescue respond to Willow Lane and find every house on Willow Lane, but one, has collapsed. They sift through the wreckage, looking for survivors long into the night. Two residents return to find their houses are nothing more than a pile of rubbage, but no one else returns. Of course, the police find this more than a little strange, but they are busy with the rescue efforts, so they have no time to give it more than a passing thought. One officer, Jim Waller, finally has a moment to think about this around midnight, and he begins to look toward the one remaining house on Willow Lane. He finds it damn peculiar that all the other houses have been destroyed, but the house at the end of the street seems fine. Jim decides to investigate the house, to see if it is indeed intact and unharmed, as it seems to be. Jim walks to the house at the end of the street, pulls his flashlight out, turns it on, and walks to the front door. The door is standing ajar, Jim pushes the door open with the flashlight, then shines the light around the entrance. The walls seem intact, theres no damage that Jim can see, and the floor seems fine as well. As Jim stands in the doorway, debating what to do, a smell comes to him that he knows well. It is the smell of death, of a decaying body, and Jim puts his arm over his nose. Jim begins to reach for his radio, meaning to call it in, then he hears a woman scream. It sounds like a scream of pain, the scream seems to be coming from inside the house, its a little ways away, but its clearly audible. Jim doesnt think, he takes his arm away from his nose, pulls his sidearm, shines his flashlight around the entrance, and walks into the house, never to be seen again. As Jim walks into the house, the door shuts behind him, but he doesnt notice. Jim is focused on finding the woman that just screamed. He is well-trained, but his training, nor any other kind of training, can prepare him for the horrifying sights that await him in the house. The first of many horrors that await Jim, is in the first room that Jim comes to. Jim doesnt see anything at first, but when he sees it, he hollers out and begins to back away quickly. It is a horrifying sight, a demonic looking creature, with solid black eyes, sharp teeth, and long fingers that end in claws. The creature floats out of the room, and chases Jim further into the house. Jim empties his gun into the creature, but it does no good. No one outside of the house hears a thing, even though they should have heard all of Jims shots, because there are a lot of officers within twenty-five feet of the house. Jim runs further into the house, he survives all night, it takes quite a few scares before Jims mind slips the first cog. Once it slips the first cog, it begins to slip more often, but Jim ends up in a glass container, before his mind goes completely. The evil entity likes Jim, and decides to keep him as a play toy. **** Part 48 of The House On Willow Lane One Week Later A week after the disaster on Willow Lane, and the unexplained disappearances of all but two of the residents, along with the disappearance of officer Jim Waller, things are mostly back to normal in the town of Lazy Acres. Of course the whole thing is still under investigation by the police department, but they dont have a single lead, not one. The house at the end of Willow Lane sits unoccupied, it is already being referred to as a haunted house by the residents of the surrounding streets, and even by quite a few in town that dont live close to it. The house is quickly becoming an urban legend, but none of the story circulating around town even come close to the actual horror of the house, the house and the evil entity that controls it, are much worse than anything that the residents of the town can even imagine, but they will soon have their own horror to try and live through. The house is being referred to as a ghost house, but it wont ever gain proper urban legend status, because the town of Lazy Acres is closing in on its own personal disaster, that will leave a ghost town in its wake. If the town of Lazy Acres thinks that the events that occurred on Willow Lane were bad, they aint seen nothing yet, because their own personal disaster is less than a year away. That disaster will essentially wipe the town of Lazy Acres off the map. At 9 PM, a week after the last disappearance, four teenagers decide to do an investigation of their own. They have heard all of the stories of the horrors of the house on Willow Lane, and they have decided to enter the house on a dare. The four teenagers, Jack Trenton, Mark Price, Mike Starnes, and Dave Carson, enter the house at the end of Willow Lane, and they are never heard from or seen again. They all become victims of the evil entity, and end up in glass containers. These four arent the last victims of Willow Lane, there will be ten more before the town of Lazy Acres is no more, and even after the town of Lazy Acres ceases to exist, the house on Willow Lane will still exist, and continue to claim victims. Most of the victims that the house claims are individuals that drive through the town of Lazy Acres, then have the misfortune of making a wrong turn. This isnt always the case, occasionally the house reaches out to Highway 63 to grab an unsuspecting motorist off the highway. The stretch of Highway 63 that goes through Lazy Acres becomes an urban legend itself, being compared to the Bermuda triangle, but it becomes infamous when a very successful, very famous rock band vanishes without a trace while on Highway 63. On the quick sidenote here, the rock band was called, The Fiend. The Fiend had many very successful hits, but their biggest two were, Living In A Nightmare and Trapped Behind Glass. The songs and the name of the band are very fitting, because when the house on Willow Lane got a hold of them, they were living in a nightmare, then they became trapped behind glass, by the fiend. They mustve known how things would end, before they ever got on Highway 63. People in the surrounding towns and counties begin to refer to Highway 63 as The Demon Highway. They begin to call it The Demon Highway, because of all of the disappearances, and because people begin to report strange occurrences on the highway around the town of Lazy Acres. People start reporting seeing a demon like creature, with a white face and red eyes, in the backseat of their cars, or on the side of the highway. Residents in the surrounding towns begin to go the long way, to avoid driving through the town of Lazy Acres, but there are still plenty of unsuspecting travelers on Highway 63, for the house on Willow Lane to snag. Every year, at least 75 travelers disappear around the town of Lazy Acres, but one year over 200 travelers disappeared. That year is referred to as the Demons Year on The Demon Highway. The ones that disappear on The Demon Highway are never heard from again. They disappear without a trace, and become trapped in the nightmare of the house on Willow Lane, they become victims of the evil entity that controls the house, and they become his play toys. The evil entity is always waiting, always watching, and always ready to claim another victim. You better hope that you never find yourself on Highway 63, in the ghost town of Lazy Acres, or you might just find yourself the evil entities next play toy. If you ever find yourself on Highway 63, driving through a ghost town, dont look in the rearview mirror, or the house on Willow Lane may have a new guest. You wont stay long though, or you might stay forever, but either way, you wont enjoy your stay. You will be living in a nightmare, then you will be trapped behind glass, by the fiend, just like the rock band. There will be no party though, because the fiend will turn out the lights because the parties over. The End ****
