We have a brand new 13+ year-old girl who entered rescue yesterday. She was ignored at the animal shelter for weeks and even had a near-miss when a rescue failed to pick her up. We are relieved to say that Fiona is now safe in a foster home. This black and tan (or black and grey!) old lady has some health issues (lumps and bumps, bad teeth, heart murmur, some haziness in the eyes, and may be deaf). She only weighs 10 pounds and is a little shakey on her feet right now after her experience, but we are going to cuddle and love her for as long as she needs, in addition to tending to her medical issues. Photos coming soon of the cutest old dachshund lady you have ever seen. Thank you to Felicia and Kevin for fostering Fiona.
