The ISL experience! I reached the venue 10mins before the kick off time. Got off from the bus, not caring that the bus was still far away from the bus stand, and I made my way through the traffic on the flyover and to my disbelief I had to cover 700-800 metres by foot. I had gotten off on the other end of where the assigned gate was!. And I ran, jogged, walked hurriedly fearing I would miss out on the kickoff, simultaneously seeing all of the fans closing in on the stadium, like flocks of birds, all passing each other, was a sight to cherish. I made it inside the premises and seeing the stadium and hearing the fans it was holding was profound indeed. The whole experience was top notch. And just when the ref blew the whistle signaling that it was halftime and the players started walking over to their dug outs, I saw him, not that I hadnt seen him in the game, but to see him walking yards away from where I was seated gave me nothing but goosebumps. The crowd was less noisy by that time and thats when I knew I had to do it. And just when he came closer to the dug out I took in all the air my lungs could gather and screamed DEL PIERO!. I was loud, but not loud enough. I took another shot. I screamed DEL PIERO again. This time the crowd followed and they all started screaming his name. And then he raised his arms! Del Piero raised his arms for his fans, he raised them for me. The video is of the Mexican wave.
