The Imperfect Perfection of Gods Love in an Imperfect Sinner like Me Imperfect: The act of pertaining to, or characterized by defects or weaknesses: to be imperfect, not to be perfect, to be incomplete, not finished. Not perfect; lacking completeness. I wish I could tell you being saved is all peaches and cream. But that would just be a vision of my own imagination, that I have dared to dream. I know some people might deem me to be perfect and without reproach, because I preach and teach the gospel of truth. But Im just a grown immature child still struggling in my youth. I have not yet arrived at the turning point of perfection. Im still yet struggling with the choices of life, and yielding to spiritual direction. I am not perfect, I know I am far from perfection, but I still desire to be perfect in Christ Jesus, and be a part of the chosen selection. But I know Im flawed, and I recognize my condition as being damaged goods. Im just hoping the acknowledgement of my own weaknesses will make things all good. I just want to be the man of God I am, even at the cost of being misunderstood. I sorry to disappoint you that Im not the man you thought I should be. But Im just grateful God chose to use such damaged goods like me. For now I understand its alright to just be free to be me. A psalm, The Imperfect vessel, by Reese Kemp (Psalms 42:2-11) My soul thirsts for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God? My tears have been my meat day and night, while they continually say unto me, Where is thy God? Things happen in life for a reason, and sometimes the reason is for you to learn from your mistakes, and the things you see happening around you! Sometimes you have to fall in life, just to see the true character of people you have with you and around you, because people will proclaim their love for you at your best, but their love will fail you at your worst. You can learn a lot from the life of JESUS, for people loved JESUS when he was doing the miracles, raising the dead, feeding the hungry, and dismantling the Pharisees and Saducees with the truth of GODS word! But soon as charges were brought against JESUS, and he was unrighteously judged, found guilty, and sentenced to death, then everyone forsook JESUS! There was even a time in JESUS life when he spoke a hard word to his many disciples, and the word was so hard for many of the disciples stopped following JESUS, because JESUS was not the man they expected him to be! For they thought JESUS was coming as this great King on a white horse to rid them of all their enemies with the sword of the LORD! But JESUS came as the son of man, the prince of peace, the suffering servant, a man who made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and chose to be made in the likeness of men, that he might humble himself, and become obedient, even to the death of the cross!~ The word of GOD says love suffers long and is kind, and love never fails, but we shall see how long your love suffers, how kind your love is, and if your brand of love fails or not, for time will tell the difference between real love, and your brand of love!~ (John 6:52-71) The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat? Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except you eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoso eats my flesh, and drinks my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He that eats my flesh, and drinks my blood, dwells in me, and I in him. As the living Father has sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eats me, even he shall live by me. This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eats of this bread shall live for ever. These things said he in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum. Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it? When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Does this offend you? What and if you shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before? It is the spirit that quickens; the flesh profits nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him. And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father. From that time many of JESUS disciples went back, and walked no more with him. Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will you also go away? Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. And we believe and are sure that you are that Christ, the Son of the living God. Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil? He spake of Judas Iscariot the son of Simon: for he it was that should betray him, being one of the twelve. (Mark 14:46-50) And they laid their hands on JESUS, and took him. And one of them that stood by drew a sword, and smote a servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear. And JESUS answered and said unto them, Are you come out, as against a thief, with swords and with staves to take me? I was daily with you in the temple teaching, and ye took me not: but the scriptures must be fulfilled. And they all forsook JESUS, and fled. (Matthew 26:65-75) Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He has spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? Behold, now you have heard his blasphemy. What do you think? They answered and said, He is guilty of death. Then did they spit in his face, and buffeted him; and others smote him with the palms of their hands, Saying, Prophesy unto us, you Christ, Who is he that smote you? Now Peter sat without in the palace: and a damsel came unto him, saying, Thou also wast with Jesus of Galilee. But he denied before them all, saying, I know not what you say. And when he was gone out into the porch, another maid saw him, and said unto them that were there, This fellow was also with Jesus of Nazareth. And again he denied with an oath, I do not know the man. And after a while came unto him they that stood by, and said to Peter, Surely you also are one of them; for your speech betrays you.
