The Independence Program is one of the two programs that make up the Long-Term Support Initiative, currently offered to the most severely injured Alumni. WWP has committed $30 million to the Long-Term Support Initiative, which is designed to help warriors live life to the fullest, on their own terms. Currently, 250 wounded veterans who rely on their families and/or caregivers because of moderate to severe brain injury, spinal-cord injury, or other neurological conditions, or face cognitive or physical challenges that limit their opportunities to access resources and activities in their own community are taking part in the program.
