Good Thursday Morning ! Here are todays Fast 5 Headlines ! 1. A crash--a ruptured gas line--evacuations. Thats exactly what city police were dealing with last nite. They had to shut down part of Arlington yesterday evening after a car crash ruptured a gas line. Crews were quickly called out to and managed to repair the line....but not before residents in the area were evacuated as a precaution. No arrests were made as a result of the crash. 2. City police and RCMP are warning people to slow down and take it easy when theyre driving. Yesterdays snowfall made city streets and highways very slick....and several crashes were reported inside and outside the city. 3. If ur waking up this morning and see a ticket on your windshield...its probably because of the cities overnight parking ban. Thanks to the over 5 cm of snow that fell yesterday, the city declared a snow route parking ban. About 300 pieces of equipment hit city streets overnight to start cleaning it all up. 4. Its Thanksgiving Day in the U.S. , and that means tomorrow is Black Friday ...one of the busiest shopping days of the year. But Canadian retailers are hoping to get in on the action by opening stores extra early tomorrow and offering up some great deals. 5. Finally today....the Barenaked Ladies have cancelled an upcoming show. The group was scheduled to perform at Sea World....but in a just released statement...the band says after seeing the CNN documentary Blackfish, theyve decided to cancel. The documentary focused on how killer whales are treated at Sea World parks around the U.S. Hope you all have a great day....careful driving !!!
