The Independent (Massillon, OH) BETHLEHEM TWP. A man and his son reported seeing a large animal they thought looked like a lion late Friday afternoon. The pair reported what they saw to authorities at 4:43 p.m. Friday in the 9200 block of Elton Street SW just west of the village of Navarre, said Police Chief Dennis Albaugh. The Ohio Division of Wildlife found a print of the creature but could not confirm what type of animal, Albaugh said. The Ohio Highway Patrol, Brewster Police, Stark County Sheriff’s Department and Bethlehem Township sent units to the area. The animal reportedly was out toward the rear of a yard and took off into the woods, Albaugh said.
