The International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) is in the process of finalizing systematic evidence evaluations for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC). This is in preparation for the Consensus on Science Conference (C2015) in Dallas, Texas, USA from 31 January to 5 February 2015. ILCOR’s Consensus on Science with Treatment Recommendations (CoSTR) document is scheduled for online publication in the medical journals Circulation and Resuscitation on 15 October 2015. ILCORs member councils, including the American Heart Association and the European Resuscitation Council, will publish CPR and ECC guidelines in parallel, based in part on the CoSTR science review on 15 October 2015. ILCORs seven task forces--Acute Coronary Syndromes (ACS); Advanced Life Support (ALS); Basic Life Support (BLS); Education, Implementation and Teams (EIT); First Aid; Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP); and Pediatric Life Support (Peds)--are finalizing their reviews of the most recent resuscitation literature from around the world to gather consensus on the science and recommendations around a number of clinical and education questions. ILCOR is utilizing an online public commenting process with the objective of providing transparent and rigorous treatment recommendations based on high-quality systematic evidence reviews. The questions and reviews that are open for public comment may be found here: https://volunteer.heart.org/apps/pico/Pages/default.aspx
