The Italian team of the 1990 World Cup, in my book, is still the best I have seen so far. Their final group match was against the then European sensation Czechoslovakia who like Italy entered into the match by beating Austria and USA. In fact their show against Austria and USA had been more dominating than the Italians. But in their final group match against Italy the Czechs were left clueless against a dazzling Italian side boasted by Baresi, Maldini, Bergomi, Diagostini, De Napoili, Vialli, Ferri, Jianinni, Roberto Baggio and the charismatic Schillaci. Still now match is highly remembered due to Roberto Baggio’s fantastic solo goal which was one of the finest moments of Italia 90.
