The Journey It began early, with a Light inside Bent in prayer, empathies lit; For the suffering of humanity, the light gently flit In a child of nine; Grasped in the clutches of revealing time And the whirlwind so begun, of her life Of how they would tease, bicker, upset and strife A soul that would then vociferously fight For decades to remain; crystally connected To remain--purely of light. Clay that the devil made slip, slipped softly Out of caress and care, for the broken eyed stare Selfless; and therein lay the seed of the deed As He guided, through green and the bisque; But heated tongs stopped not; and tears did abound Clinging onto His rope; the world of Love spun round; Throwing peace, beauty and hope; thrashing on the ground. The spin was fast, but some circles slow The mind’s eye saw deep to Where the murky waters flowed Down to their hearts, and in wisdom did she grow Beliefs being tested, and embers glowed In the bowels of the dunya, till--it broke. Yes, it broke; for Truth. Each lie was heavy; and the shrieks were blown Through her ears, till the wind became silent--- Like heavens breeze blown free and clear And she had vanquished, every meagre fear Inside. Yes, inside. Yet the devil, still did not stop; Until, at the final port of call, the gasp of Eternal love It came, a loud noise from the chest, The Qalb worn unbelievably thin but still Suspended and freed. Human.
