The Jubilee leadership seems to have swallowed their pride and have to bite the bullet. They are acknowledging that the promises they made to the electorate are not attainable one year down the line. Corruption is deeply rooted in all the earmarked projects starting with the Laptop tendering, paying ghost workers to mention a few. Kenyans will remember that the Civil Society Organisations protested against salary increment by members of parliament. For those who have forgotten the message was Bunge Sio Biashara: Bunge Ni Huduma. What followed? The police violently disrupted the demonstration and Human Rights Activists were arraigned in court. The office of the Director of Public Prosecution MUST withdraw the charges and give an apology to the accused. And the next time the office of president is looking for Kenyans to honour, they need consider the activists for State medals for strategic management.
