The July 2003 abduction of Governor Chris Ngige was an attempted - TopicsExpress

The July 2003 abduction of Governor Chris Ngige was an attempted coup by a civilian (a pint-sized civilian at that), using the instruments of the state -- a police AIG and all -- to thwart the popular will of Anambra people (as evidenced by INEC) barely six weeks after they had gone to the polls. Ill need to be reminded what consequences Chris Uba faced for his involvement that saga, if any. Hardly surprising its apologists and goons of the same party who would rather Fayoses supporters break the head of a judge for daring to sit and hear a case bordering on the eligibility of their man to run for public office. Rule of Law bawo? Crucify Ngige the traitor, and give us pain-in-the-ass Fayose, joor! Even if him dey bite we own yansh, we no wan know. Again, its the same people who scream that Buhari doesnt deserve to be president in a democracy, not after having overthrown a democratically elected government. Of course, this is in spite of pointers to the involvement of IBB, Abacha and even a certain David, the son of Mark, our chief lawmaker from time immemorial as the actual masterminds of that coup. Everyday, these PDP folks add ridiculously shameless dimensions to the meaning of the word hypocrisy.
