From the National Weather Service: WIDESPREAD TRAVEL IMPACTS DUE TO LONG DURATION OF MODERATE SNOW...HEAVY AT TIMES THROUGH TUESDAY ACROSS THE NORTHERN ROCKIES...MORE SIGNIFICANT SNOWFALL AND DANGEROUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS OVERNIGHT TONIGHT THROUGH TUESDAY MORNING... WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 AM MST TUESDAY Click here for updated information From the US Forest Service: An AVALANCHE WARNING is in effect for the entire advisory area. Substantial continued snowfall, moderate to strong winds, and rising temperatures created very dangerous avalanche conditions. Travel in avalanche terrain and runout zones is not recommended. Natural and human triggered storm and wind slabs are likely. Avalanches involving a persistent weak layer 2-5 feet deep are possible with this new, rapid load.
