The Kamloops Global Awareness Network is pleased to present the 2nd annual Kamloops Global Film Festival. This film festival is co-sponsored by the World Community Development Education Society and features films from the Travelling World Community Film Festival. This years festival features 16 short and feature-length documentary films that explore a variety of national and international topics including international development, sustainability, fair trade, social justice, food security, and environmental issues. These films aim to entertain, engage and inspire people about significant, controversial, and often complex issues that affect our community, our country, and our world. Our hope is that these films are used as a catalyst for reflection, discussion, and responsible action. Tickets can be purchased at the Alumni Theatre during the festival and are $5 per day or $10 for a 3 day festival pass. All proceeds go towards covering festival expenses. There will also be a concession by donation. Cash only please.
