The Kankakee County clerk, sheriff and treasurer wont be getting a raise for at least four years. The board chairmans salary will be frozen for two years. And he board voted to cut its own pay, reducing board member per diems from $74 per meeting to $70. In Iroquois County the board Board voted to end a five-year pay freeze, approving salary increases for top county officials: $2,000 per year for four years for the sheriffs office and $1,250 per year for the county clerk, circuit clerk and county treasurer.
