The Kansas gun law that went into effect on July, 1, 2014 is known for open carry across the state, but thats not the only thing addressed in HB 2578. It also means that Chief Law Enforcement Officers shall provide certification for items such as suppressors & full auto within a certain amount of days, taxpayer $ cannot be used to hold a gun buyback program, employers cannot request employee Concealed Carry information, clarifies possession of a gun under the influence, nullification of city/ county gun ordinances, specifies that guns seized cannot be destroyed (unless used to commit a felony), we can now carry in our state house, among other things. Open Carry may be what the law is known for, but honestly, it so much better than just open carry! -RS kake/home/headlines/New-Kansas-open-carry-gun-law--265461501.html?llsms=898441&c=y&device=phone
