The Kawai K1 synths are commonly known for their ability to produce lush soundscapes. But you can also get them to output bleepy digital nonsense too! One of my favorite tricks with this board is to tune the oscillators as high as you can get them until the frequencies begin to distort. Then turn on the pitch slide function where when you strike a different key, the pitch begins to slide down or up towards that key. This makes for some nice computer random pitch FX. You can also make some nice hi-hats with this effect too. I used that effect on this track. The opening computer bit was done on the Kawai K1, and most of the sounds in this song used the K1 as well. :)
