The Koch Brothers funded PAC, Americans For Prosperity, Under Investigation For Misleading Voters, By Sending Mailers With Incorrect Information In North Carolina Americans For Prosperity sent mailers to voters with erroneous information about the registration schedule, mislabeled envelopes, incorrect contact information for the state Board of Elections, and incorrect information about county-clerk notifications. The AFP registration also gave voters information to contact the Secretary of State’s elections division, but North Carolinas Secretary of State’s office doesn’t have an elections division. The investigation by the North Carolina Board of Elections was initiated after Casey Mann, the state Democratic Party’s executive director, brought accusations of fraud to the attention of the state agency.
