To join the GMB Union – Please click here https://gmb.org.uk/join/join-online As record number of Lyreco Employees continue to join the GMB Union, one former Lyreco Field Sales Executive is today over £13,000 better of after he was illegally sacked on false trumped up charges of falsification of the SFM system (reporting customer visits) and it will be no surprise to most that the gentlemen in question was a fully paid up Member of the GMB Union, so as a result had the full backing of the Union. Documents that were obtained and are now in the public domain under Employment Tribunal Case Number: 2505014/2012 expose not only management but also amazingly members of the HR department who are supposed to be the guardians of morality and ethical behaviour within Lyreco. Judge Buchanan does not hold back in his condemnation of the illegal and unethical practices of some of the Management team and some rogue individuals who have and who are still working within the Lyreco HR Department. Judge Buchanan when commenting on how the HR Department attempted to make it as difficult as possible for the Field Sales Executive to have a Grievance meeting close to his place of work rather than hundreds of miles away here in Telford said " The offers of meetings at such unreasonable distances from the claimants home speaks volumes of the attitude of the respondent (Lyreco) at this time to the claimant. It demonstrates practices which any professional HR Manager should frankly be ashamed of. " The Judge also goes on to say when commenting on the way the RSM and Area Sales Manager carried out what was supposed to be an investigation the following damming comments "The disciplinary process was at worst a sham, but at best lacked any form of investigation or analysis" The Lyreco GMB Newsletter Committee are unanimous that this investigation like many we have looked at was as the Judge said a SHAM! In further summing up the Judgement of the award, Judge Buchanan Mauls the rogue RSM ***** ***** when he reveals his contempt for the way she carried out what many will see as a bogus appeal hearing. The Judge made the following comments which many now believe will lead to an internal investigation which may result in Disciplinary action against the rogue RSM. Judge Buchannon writes " ***** ***** was not independent. She did not approach the appeal with an open mind. The notes make it plain that she was partisan and biased . The appeal was not worthy of the name" The Lyreco GMB Newsletter team will be attempting to get an exclusive interview from the Field Sales Executive in question so that he can open the lid on what happend in this case, as a team we know that the Managing Director Peter Hradisky will be astonished when he learns of the illegal behaviour of some of his Management and some within the HR Department and we are confident he will take strong and appropriate action, as he continues his good work in attempting to cleanse Lyreco of the bullying culture.
