The Last Post Ceremony At the end of each day, commencing at 4.55 pm, the Memorial farewells visitors with its moving Last Post Ceremony. This particular ceremony was very interesting to us as the soldier was well known in Singleton. Sergeant Arnold Worboys from Bolwarra had been killed in action on March 23 1917. The soldier was very well known in Singleton, having for 18 months prior to his enlistment filled the position of clerk in the C.P.S. office (courthouse), in which capacity he proved a very capable and promising young officer, and his courtesy and obliging disposition won for him many friends in public and private, life. He was 19 years old. His only known photograph was discovered this week and sent to the Australian War Memorial. The relevant articles I will list in the comments.
