The Life Rope There was once a beautiful majestic creature, named Eliana, that loved to soar along the trees through the forest and into the wild of nature... She was filled with remarkable light and love and gained her power from the sun. Her wings were magnificently beautiful and sparkled with iridescence in the sunlight. They were so grand and lovely, as they were attached to her most precious loving heart. The more love she felt and could express in her heart, the more glorious her wings became. In fact, some stories told, that she held “the wings of infinite love”. Her soul seemed to call her to many things along her path, however, she could not resist the compelling soul urge to share the magic of her love and light with certain special creatures and beings, that had fallen or had not fully recognized their own innate beauty and power. As the story goes...she was soaring through the light of the trees, in the forest, one beautiful sun-filled morning, and off in the distance, she noticed a gorgeous creature that seemed so sad and lost. He was just sitting, paralyzed in confusion, as if he didn’t know which way to go along the path. Eliana stopped in her tracks, as she could not resist such a glorious creature and could see he had no idea of his ability to fly as well. In fact he was not even aware that he had wings...So sad, she thought. If only he could see his beauty and embrace it, he could soar with the wings of an eagle into his own light! In a moment of compelling awestruck, she asked her spirit guides what she could do to help? She intuited that she needed to help this beautiful lost soul, by sharing enough light and love upon and around him, to help him to see his own magnificence. So Eliana asked politely of the creature, if she could embrace him with a magical, loving hug, to help stimulate his healing and awareness. He hesitantly agreed...wondering what this was all about. As she embraced the creature, his entire being lit up and then there was a huge spark of light that ignited in his heart and soul, that began to shine so brightly through his eyes and emanate from his entire being. The power and beauty was so amazing that both Eliana and the creature began to shine brighter than ever thought possible! Eliana, herself, was in awe and felt so elated to see such beauty and wonder that she only thought existed in the realm of her dreams. She began to giggle and get goosebumps all over her body. As she released the creature, he looked at her in wonderment and asked if she had put a spell upon him? She said, “no my dear, that was just the magic of who we are uniting to expand in the infinite beauty of light and love”. He said, “you are so beautiful and amazing”! Eliana smiled sweetly. Then, as she began to thank the heavens for being able to connect with such a wondrous spirit and was so honored to be able to help him see his own spark of divinity, all of the sudden, out of the blue, the creature looked at her with an instantaneous shift into confusion and fear. Eliana was shocked and asked, what is wrong sweet creature? He then said, with total coldness and distance, “I don’t deserve this. There must be something wrong. We are not meant to be like this!”. Before she could say anything, he ran off with such velocity that the ground began to shake and crumble out from under Eliana and the earth cracked wide open beneath her feet. As she fell sideways, it all happened so fast and unexpected that she didn’t have a chance to spread her wings to fly to safety. Eliana began to fall into the earth’s newly formed chasm, breaking one of her precious wings along the way. Deeper and deeper into the darkness she fell, till she hit the rocky bottom, hitting her head with a such a harsh blow, that it knocked her unconscious. For hours she slept, tossing and turning with tumultuous dreams...When she awoke, she found herself in the midst of her greatest nightmare! It was so dark...Where was she? What happened? Where did her glorious friend go? How could he just leave her there to die without any light to heal herself with? She felt so alone and so confused as to what she may have done wrong. As she sat up, she began to weep and sob as her heart ached so painfully, for the loss of love, she had shared with this beautiful creature, who had so quickly left her to falter. She was so heart-broken and confused because she was guided to help heal, empower and love this soul, yet he rejected all her beauty and gifts, leaving her without any seeming regard for her safety or well-being, as she cried out for him to help her. Yet still, even though she could see he had rejected her love and beauty so easily, and refused to truly receive the beautiful gifts she shared to help unveil his power and light, she mourned more for the feelings of loss and failure of serving her higher purpose here with him. She was so sad that he could not and would not see the beauty of who he truly was, for he was blinded by the limits of his own perception of what he deserved, or who he was expressing himself to be. He chose to give up and run, rather than embrace the power of who he truly was. Eliana’s heart fell into deep despair as her wings began to wilt. She had no light to shine upon her heart to heal and restore her own power. In a last listless attempt to regain her strength, all she could do was pray to the Great Spirit and to her guardian angels to show her a way to crawl out of the darkness... She heard nothing...she saw only dark...she felt so abandoned and alone. Her heart lay open, fractured and bleeding. Eliana had all but given up and surrendered to the appearance that she was done with her journey in this life. As the air began to leave her lungs and with no energy to return, in her last gasp for life, she gazed up towards where she remembered the surface to be, amidst the coal dark blackness of the earth’s walls along the chasm. At that moment, she imagined seeing a tiny glimmer of light towards the surface. Her heart jolted in palpation once, as she managed to gather in one more breath. Almost ignoring what she thought surely was her imagination, she heard a still small voice inside her head that said, “don’t give up, look up”. She thought, “what does she have to lose?”. So she again looked up to see a larger glimmer of light up in the distance. This time it held it’s light longer so she could fixate upon it. She thought to herself, “perhaps her friend has come back to rescue her after all”. As the light began to grow brighter, she felt her heart beginning to beat a little stronger and the air beginning to fill her lungs again. As the blood began to rush through her body with renewed oxygen, she felt herself slowly begin to heal and the pain had started to mitigate. She began to feel hopeful, but then noticed that she heard a voice from up above on the earth’s surface. She didn’t recognize the voice as being that of her friend, yet there was a friendly familiarity about it. She felt sad and disappointed initially, as she so hoped her friend had finally come back to shine light and love upon her. However, she heard the voice up above tell her that, he was throwing her down a life rope and that he would help her to the top. She wasn’t really used to receiving such gracious help and treatment from others, as she had always felt it was her divine purpose to give to others rather than to receive. Yet that angelic voice inside her said, “It’s okay to just allow and receive. You need to learn to receive, so that you have more to give.” So with that, Eliana took hold of the life rope and wrapped it around herself as best as she could, with still so much pain in her heart and body she said, “okay, I am ready”, to the voice up top. As she felt the rope tighten, her body began to lift up into the air and gradually ascend closer and closer to the little light above. She thought to herself, who could possibly be willing to throw her this life rope and show such kindness, whom she didn’t even know? Again the angelic voice spoke to her and said, “you know him, he is the one you once rescued long ago in another life and now he has found the opportunity to shed his light upon you this time, in order to uplift your heart and spirit”. As she rose closer to the light at the surface, she felt her body begin to heal more. She then felt a slight twinge of a loving spark that surprised her, as she felt her wings begin to regenerate. When she looked up, she noticed the morning sun had begun to shine in the distance and a silhouette of what appeared to be an angel upon the earth’s surface. She began to feel a deep connection to this soul, that she couldn’t seem shake off, as she neared the surface of the deep crevice. What she then noticed, was that the silhouette began to take shape into more of a man, yet appeared to be shifting in appearances moment to moment, as if metamorphosing before her very eyes. It became clear to her that she was seeing the faces of all the beautiful souls she had touched, in not only this life, but in past lives as well, co-joining, it seemed, into one essence. This was, without a doubt, a miracle and a true blessing of all blessings! Once she got up to the surface, she smiled and thanked the gentleman profusely for all of his loving kindness and then, with exasperation, she laid upon the earth to re-charge and continue to heal herself by the sun’s rays. The man stayed with Eliana, and nurtured her and laid watch over her diligently with such a tender care she had never experienced from another soul, ever before. As the man turned to churn the coals over in the fire pit, Eliana began to stretch out her wings and feel the light essence of the sun and love returning to her heart and soul. She was coming back into her power again and remembering what it felt like to feel alive once more. She then stood up and walked gracefully over to the man and offered him a hug of gratitude. This time with only the sheer intent of thanking him for all of his kindness and to acknowledge him as a kindred spirit. As they embraced, she felt his light spark a tender, yet o’ so powerful, healing love inside of her heart. Before she knew it, they both had a brilliance of light ignite internally into such a powerful magnificence of magic, that not only did her wings spring forth into such exquisite beauty, but this man...this angelic being, began to outstretch his own mesmerizing wings of, never before seen, luminescence! At that moment, their souls began to lift their wings up to carry their bodies into a transcendent flight, soaring up through the trees, into the vast blue sky and into the heavens, merging with the flight of the angel spirits above. Eliana then realized, that she had actually reunited with all of the beautiful souls she had found a connection and shared her light with throughout her journeys, in both past and present lives. Not only did they now fly together in unison, but they then actually became unified as one, with the life force of all that is and all that will ever be. She truly understood now, that at the most minute quantum level, we are all simply individual expressions of the Cosmos of life and we are all love; there is no separation... Moral of the story: Everything we do comes full circle. Do what you can today to make a difference!
