The Lions lost to Cincinnati yesterday 27-24 at Ford Field and now are 4-3 in their division. Matt Stafford was 28 for 51 for 357 yards and three touchdowns. He missed a boat load of throws in the first half. Over throwing his receivers cost the Lions chances to advance the ball and score some points. He should have shortened the routes to get his touch instead of throwing long and not being able to move the offense. Megatron caught nine passes for 159 yards and two touchdowns. Petagrew caught a touchdown pass as well. Bell and Bush combined for only seventy seven yards total on twenty five attempts, not good. Martins botched punt late in the game gave the Bengals great field position to get a shot at a winning field goal and didnt miss it. The Lions still have a big problem with deep coverage as they were giving up long yards and not covering midrange passes when they needed to stop the offense on third down. If they want to advance to the playoffs the defense must to better on coverage! The Lions now will face Dallas at home next Sunday and Dallas is playing some good football. The Lions better be on their best or it will be another disappointing loss. Go Lions! The Wings will host San Jose tonight at the Joe. They have a four game winning streak going and Gustavsson has been playing great in absence of Howard who has been sidelined with a hand injury. Go Wings! Michigan were winners in Ann Arbor Saturday with a 63-47 win over Indiana! Now get prepared to travel to Michigan State for a game with the Spartans. Both teams are 6-1 overall this year.
